- 1. Ancient Indian scholar Panini (5th century BC) made discoveries in phonetics, phonology, and morphology, which remain more advanced than any equivalent Western theory till 1950s.
2. The scholar Baudhayana (8th century BCE) composed the Baudhayana Sulba Sutra, and mentioned simple Pythagorean triplets like (3,4,5), (5,12,13), (8,15,17) etc. "The rope which is stretched across the diagonal of a square produces an area double the size of the original square."
3. The trigonometric functions of sine and versine were used by Aryabhata, the mathematician, around 450 AD.
4. The calculus theorem today known as "Rolle's theorem" was stated by mathematician Bhaskara II, in the 12th century.
5. The Indus Valley Civilisation was the biggest urban settlement, exceeding 1000 sites at its peak. It used a system of standardization, using weights and measures, as seen in multiple excavations.
6. Kanada, an Indian philosopher around 200 BC, proposed that atoms are indivisible and eternal, can neither be created nor destroyed, and that each one possesses its own distinct nature.
7. The Buddhist school of atomism considered atoms to be point-sized, durationless, and made of energy. Dharmakirti and Dignāga (7th century AD) were important proponents.
8. Early volumes of the Encyclopædia Britannica described cartographic charts made by the seafaring Dravidian people!
9. The earliest Indian astronomical text was the Vedanga Jyotish, by Lagadha (dating 1400–1200 BCE). It details several astronomical attributes generally applied for timing social and religious events.
10. The scholar Schwartzberg (2008) said that “On the subject of surviving maps, though not numerous, a number of map-like graffiti appear among the thousands of Stone Age Indian cave paintings; and at least one complex Mesolithic diagram is believed to be a representation of the cosmos!”

4. आज जिस कलन की प्रमेय को “रोले की प्रमेय” कहा जाता था इसे 12 वीं सदी में गणितज्ञ भास्कर द्वितीय द्वारा बताया गया था
5. सिंधु घाटी की सभ्यता सबसे बड़ी शहरी बस्ती थी, जो इसके चरम पर 1000 से अधिक स्थलों पर फैली हुई थी। इसमें वजनों और मापों की व्यवस्था का उपयोग करते हुए मानकीकरण की प्रणाली का उपयोग किया जाता था, जैसा कि बहुविध उत्खननों में प्रकट हुआ है
