The development agenda of the world can not afford terrorism to flourish.

India defeated New Zealand by six wickets in the first ODI played at Dharmashala. Virat Kohli made a brilliant 85. With this win, India also achieved victory in its 900th ODI. New comer Hardik Pandya was declared ‘Man of the Match’. With this win, India captain M S Dhoni has become the second captain, after Ricky Ponting of Australia, to win the highest number of ODIs. Dhoni has won 108 matches against Ponting’s 165.

India-Russia to build world’s costliest pipeline
India and Russia have agreed to explore the possibility of building the world’s costliest pipeline costing about USD 25 billion. This pipeline would ferry natural gas from Siberia to the third largest consumer of energy, India. This pipeline would connect Russian gas grid to India through a 4,500 km to 6,000 km pipeline. Its shortest route would require bringing the pipeline through Himalayas into Northern India. However, this route has many technical challenges.
भारत और रूस के बीच लगभग 25 अरब डॉलर लागत की विश्व की सबसे महँगी पाइपलाइन बनाने कि संभावनाएं तलाशने पर सहमति बनी है। यदि यह परियोजना मूर्तरूप लेती है तो यह विश्व कि सबसे महँगी पाइपलाइन होगी, जिसकी लागत लगभग 25 अरब डॉलर होगी। प्रस्तावित पाइपलाइन साइबेरिया से प्राकृतिक गैस विश्व के तीसरे सबसे बड़े उर्जा उपभोक्ता, भारत को 4,500 कि मी से 6,000 कि मी पाइपलाइन द्वारा आपूर्ति करेगी। इसका सबसे छोटा मार्ग हिमालय से होते हुए उत्तरी भारत को गैस प्रदाय के रूप में हो सकता है, परंतु इसमें अनेक तकनीकी चुनौतियाँ हैं।

Trump called Prime Minister Modi ‘a great man’ and praised his policies. He further said that policies initiated by Modi need to be implemented in the US too.

In his plenary session remarks at the BRICS convention, Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged BRICS member states to target intra-BRICS trade target of USD 500 billion by 2020. He further said that the BRICS members partnership stretches from agriculture to industry and innovation; trade and tourism; environment to energy; and from fighting terrorism to building our societies.

National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC) pays highest-ever dividend
Having achieved a record profit of Rs.156.95 crores, NSIC has paid the highest ever dividend of Rs.29.05 core to the Government for the year 2015-16. This is 70% more than the last year. The corporation’s CMD Shri Ravindra Nath handed over the dividend cheque to the Union Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Kalraj Mishra.

156.95 करोड़ रुपये का रिकॉर्ड लाभ अर्जित करने के साथ ही राष्ट्रीय लघु उद्योग निगम ने वर्ष 2015-16 के लिए सरकार को 29.05 करोड़ रुपये का अपना अब तक का सर्वाधिक लाभांश प्रदान किया। यह पिछले वर्ष कि तुलना में 70 प्रतिशत अधिक है। निगम के अध्यक्ष एवं प्रबंध निदेशक श्री रवीन्द्रनाथ नेकेन्द्रीय सूक्ष्म, लघु एवं मध्यम उपक्रम मंत्री श्री कलराज मिश्र को लाभांश का चेक सौंपा।

Various Farmers’ Organisations began a 48-hour Rail Roko in Tiruchi and delta districts, demanding the constitution of a Cauvery Management Board. The agitation has been supported by various opposition parties in the state. Officials however, dismissed claims of disruption of rail services.

एक कावेरी प्रबंधन बोर्ड के गठन की मांग को लेकर राज्य के विभिन्न किसान संगठनों द्वारा 48 घंटे का रेल रोको आन्दोलन तिरुची और डेल्टा जिलों में शुरू किया गया। किसानों के इस आन्दोलन को राज्य कि विभिन्न विपक्षी राजनीतिक पार्टियों द्वारा भी समर्थन दिया गया है। हालांकि अधिकारियों ने रेल सेवा में किसी भी प्रकार की बाधा कि ख़बरों से इंकार किया है।
