पनामा पेपर मामले में गुरुवार को पाकिस्तान की सर्वोच्च अदालत ने प्रधानमंत्री नवाज़ शरीफ को नोटिस जारी किया। उक्त मामले में, विदेशी संपत्ति इकठ्ठा करने और भ्रष्टाचार के चलते उनकी संसद की सदस्यता रद्द करने के लिए दायर की गई विभिन्न याचिकाओं पर कार्रवाई करते हुए न्यायालय ने नोटिस जारी किया है। ज्ञातव्य है कि पनामा पेपर मामले में उनका नाम आने के समय से ही शरीफ विरोधी पक्षों के निशाने पर रहे हैं।

In the second match of the ongoing India-New Zealand ODI series, New Zealand defeated India by 6 runs in a thrilling contest and kept the series alive. Batting first, the New Zealand Captain Ken Williamson made a brilliant 85 in the team’s total of 242, to steer his team to victory. Both teams are now locked at 1-1 in the five match series. Loss of early wickets ultimately cost India the match.

UP Congress's Rita Bahuguna Joshi joins BJP
In a big political shock to the Congress party ahead of UP Assembly elections, former UP Congress chief and influential Congress leader in the state, Rita Bahuguna Joshi has finally joined the BJP. Speculations of her joining the BJP were floating in news circles for the past few days. It should be noted that Ms Bahuguna’s brother and Uttarakhand leader Vijay Bahuguna had revolted against the party and earlier joined the BJP.

Honda starts two-wheeler exports from Gujarat plant
Two–wheeler makers Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India Pvt Ltd. on Thursday informed that the company has started exports of its two-wheelers from Gujarat plant to Sri Lanka. The company has already shipped its first consignment of 50,000 units of Honda Dio to Sri Lanka from the Mundra Port.

Reliance will end its Welcome offer, giving free Jio service data and calls, on 3rd December. The company has decided to close the offer ahead of its scheduled date of 31st December because the company cannot offer free service for more than 90 days. But the company has clarified that people who have already subscribed, will continue to get the free unlimited data and free unlimited calls until December 31.

The Supreme Court on Thursday said that seeking votes on religious grounds is a corrupt practice, and it cannot be allowed. The question was among several raised during a day-long hearing to revisit its two-decades-old ‘Hindutva’ judgment. What is most significant in the present clause (of the RP Act is that Parliament has thought of widening the scope of ‘corrupt practices’ to curb separatist and communal tendencies during elections, said the Court.

Finance Ministry, RBI seek report on debit card data theft
While banks were busy reassuring their account holders that their money was safe, the Finance Ministry and the Reserve Bank of India have asked banks to furnish a report on the reported theft of data. Concerns are, however, being raised as to why banks did not alert authorities in time, when they had come to know of the problem six weeks ago.
