Iraqi army traps ISIS chief in Mosul
The Iraqi army has reportedly surrounded the whole of Mosul and trapped the ISIS fighters there. The Iraqi army spokesperson said that ISIS chief Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi is lying low for the last couple of months, and there are even rumours of his being killed. The army said that even if he is alive, they had closed all his escape routes. This could well be the last major stand of the ISIS. Note that ISIS is also known by the names IS, ISIL or Daesh. After the fall of Saddam Hussein's Iraq, Baghdadi had stealthily used the military machinery left behind to power his adventures. Read India Today
