- 1. Indian economy – Experts feel that the creation of a single oil and gas company by the merger of state-owned oil companies will reduce prices of petroleum products by about 5% as it would cut down on the overhead expenditure.
2. Indian economy – Amidst growing concerns over US visa policy, Infosys co-founder Narayana Murthy has bravely suggested that Indian software companies should stop sending people on H-1B visas and focus on local hiring there. This, according to him, is the way to become a true multi-national company.
3. World politics – China has reportedly tested a missile (DF-5C missile) that can carry up to 10 nuclear warheads. This indicates a major shift in its nuclear capability, and is seen as a possible deterrence preparation for a military showdown with the US under the Trump.
4. World politics – US Defence Secretary has warned North Korea of an effective response if it used nuclear weapons. He has also assured South Korea of full US support.
5. Indian economy – Apple will soon start making iPhones in India at its Bengaluru facility. India will become the third country in the world to assemble iPhones.
6. Indian economy – Economic Affairs Secretary Shaktikanta Das has said that the government does not have an exact data on the ‘windfall’ from demonetization. However, banks are having enough low-cost deposits to give loans at lower rates.
7. Indian economy – Indian IT firms would meet US lawmakers and officials to lobby against any major changes to visa regulations that could hurt India’s $ 150 billion industry (more than 50% of whose export revenues come from USA).
8. Indian economy – RBI has issued revised guidelines for commercial papers which also include mandating that the issuer must disclose the end-use of such funds, and that they cannot buy back the securities before 60 days from the sale.
9. World politics – British MPs have voted overwhelmingly in favour of the Brexit Bill. Thus Britain moves one step closer to the final separation from the European Union. EU27 it will be!
10. Indian politics – Campaigning for the assembly elections in Punjab and Goa came to an end. Voting will be held on February 4. Punjab is witnessing a three-cornered contest between the ruling SAD-BJP alliance, Congress and AAP, whereas BJP and AAP are the main parties in Goa along with local parties.

- 1. भारतीय अर्थव्यवस्था - विशेषज्ञों का मानना है कि सरकारी स्वामित्व की तेल कंपनियों के विलय से निर्मित होने वाली एकल तेल और गैस कंपनी के निर्माण से पेट्रोलियम उत्पादों की कीमतों में 5 प्रतिशत तक की कमी हो सकती है क्योंकि कंपनियों की ऊपरी लागतें कम हो जाएंगी।
2. भारतीय अर्थव्यवस्था - अमेरिकी वीजा नीति में होने वाले संभावित परिवर्तनों की बढती चिंताओं के बीच इंफोसिस के सह-संस्थापक नारायण मूर्ति ने कहा है कि भारतीय सॉफ्टवेयर कंपनियों को एच-1 बी वीजा पर लोगों को अमेरिका भेजना बंद कर देना चाहिए और स्थानीय भर्तियों पर अधिक ध्यान देना चाहिए। उनके अनुसार, इसी तरीके से कंपनियां वास्तव में बहु-राष्ट्रीय कंपनियां बन सकती हैं।
3. विश्व राजनीति - चीन ने कथित रूप से ऐसे मिसाइल का परीक्षण किया है (डीएफ-5सी) जो अपने साथ कम से कम 10 परमाणु हथियार ले जा सकती है। चीन के इस कदम को उसकी परमाणु नीति में एक प्रमुख परिवर्तन के रूप में देखा जा रहा है, साथ ही इसे अमेरिका के साथ संभावित सैन्य मुकाबले हेतु षक्ति संतुलन प्रदर्षन के रूप में भी देखा जा रहा है।
4. विश्व राजनीति - अमेरिका के रक्षा मंत्री ने उत्तर कोरिया को चेतावनी दी है कि यदि वह परमाणु हथियारों का उपयोग करता है तो अमेरिका उसे प्रभावी जवाब देगा। उन्होंने दक्षिण कोरिया को संपूर्ण अमेरिकी समर्थन का भी आश्वासन दिया है।
5. भारतीय अर्थव्यवस्था - एप्पल शीघ्र ही अपनी बेंगलुरु स्थित सुविधा में भारत में बने आई फोन का निर्माण शुरू करेगा। इस प्रकार से भारत आई फोन का निर्माण करने वाला विश्व का तीसरा देश बन जाएगा।
6. भारतीय अर्थव्यवस्था - आर्थिक मामलों के सचिव शक्तिकांत दास ने कहा कि सरकार के पास विमुद्रीकरण के प्रभाव के स्पष्ट आंकडे उपलब्ध नहीं हैं। हालांकि बैंकों के पास पर्याप्त मात्रा में न्यून-लागत जमाएँ उपलब्ध हैं जिनसे वे सस्ते ऋण दे सकेंगी।
7. भारतीय अर्थव्यवस्था - भारतीय सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी कंपनियां शीघ्र ही अमेरिकी कानून निर्माताओं और अधिकारियों के साथ बैठक करेंगी ताकि वे उन्हें वीजा नीति में बड़े बदलाव करने से परावृत करने का प्रयास कर सकें, क्योकि भारत के 150 अरब डॉलर के आई.टी. उद्योग के निर्यातों का आधे से ज्यादा अकेले अमेरिका में ही होता है।
8. भारतीय अर्थव्यवस्था - आरबीआई ने कमर्शियल पेपर्स पर संशोधित दिशानिर्देश जारी किये हैं जिनमें इस बात की अनिवार्यता भी शामिल की गई है कि जरिकर्ताओं को इसके अंतिम उपयोग को उजागर करना होगा, साथ ही वे जारी करने के 60 दिन के अंदर इन प्रतिभूतियों को वापस नहीं खरीद पाएँगे।
9. विश्व राजनीति - ब्रिटिश सांसदों ने भारी बहुमत से ब्रेक्सिट का समर्थन किया है। इस प्रकार ब्रिटेन आधिकारिक रूप से यूरोपीय संघ से अलग होने के एक कदम और नजदीक पहुँच गया है। अब ई.यू. - 27 होकर रहेगा्!
10. भारतीय राजनीति - पंजाब और गोवा में होने वाले आगामी विधानसभा चुनाव का चुनाव प्रचार गुरुवार शाम समाप्त हो गया। इन दोनों ही राज्यों में 4 फरवरी को मतदान होगा। पंजाब में जहाँ शि.अ द. - भाजपा गठबंधन, कांग्रेस और आप के बीच त्रिकोणीय मुकाबला है वहीँ गोवा में सत्ताधारी भाजपा और आप के बीच मुकाबला है, जहाँ कुछ स्थानीय दल भी मैदान में हैं।

2. Constitution – The law on which the Supreme Court works was taken from Japan by the Indian Constitution.
3. Constitution – The Constituent Assembly had 284 members, out of which 15 were women. These were not directly elected representatives.
4. Films – The Film Do Aankhen Baraah Hath was the first Indian film to have won the Golden Globe award under the Samuel Goldwyn category.
5. Constitution and law – The Objectives Resolution was moved by Jawaharlal Nehru on December, 13, 1946. It became the roadmap for the Constitution
